Introducing the Twitter Campaign designed to celebrate 15 years of wonderful, thought provoking editorial content from Alberta Views Magazine!
My name is Nicole Liesner and I am the Alberta Views intern. I am new to the magazine and so the history of it is news to me. Now that I’ve worked here for a little over six weeks, I see how unfortunate I was to have missed so many issues. As a way of familiarizing myself with the magazine I tracked down some of our past issues and began to read. I like to share knowledge so I am offering an inside look into my journey to become better acquainted with Alberta Views.
By utilizing both our Twitter account (@AlbertaViewsMag) and our website I will navigate through past issues of Alberta Views. Every week in the intern’s blog will feature an issue from a different year in the magazine’s past. How will you know when to look for a new post? For the next 15 weeks, starting October 24, I will be uploading a new post to the website.
I will also be linking the table below with the appropriate blog entry (just click on the week in column 1). Because not everyone has past issues on hand we will also be uploading the feature highlighted in the blog (column 2).
Not only will we be taking a trip down memory lane, we are also looking to the future. To help celebrate the awesomeness of 15 years we are giving away 15 one-year subscriptions to Alberta Views. How to enter? Simply follow us on Twitter by February 6, 2012! (Contest rules below.)

Rules:
(i) An entrant must be a resident of Canada to be eligible for the prize.
a. All residents from all provinces (AB, BC, MB, NB, NL, NS, ON, PE, SASK, QC) and territories (YK, NT, NV) are eligible.
(ii) There is no age restriction to this contest. Minors may enter.
(iii) The prizes will be drawn on February 6, 2012, and the winner will be contacted. The winner must accept the prize and provide a mailing address before their win is announced. The winner will be announced February 7, 2011.
a. If a winner is already a subscriber, the free year will be added to their existing subscription.
b. If a winner does not want the prize, then another @AlbertaViewsMag follower will be chosen.
(iv) The winners must be @AlbertaViewsMag followers at the time of the draw.
(v) A winner must be an individual and NOT a corporate or generic Twitter account.
